9th Annual Breast Health Summit Summary

This two-day statewide event is the only annual conference dedicated to access to breast health care in Texas. Continuing education will be provided for nurses, social workers, certified health education specialists, community health workers, and mammography technologists.

Theme: Embracing Diversity: Bridging Healthcare Gaps in Texas

Date: November 7-8, 2013, 9:00 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.

Continuing Education Information

Nurses - Memorial Hermann Health System presents “Embracing Diversity: Bridging Healthcare Gaps in Texas” at the Breast Health Summit.

Memorial Hermann Health System is an approved provider of continuing Registered Nurses education by the Texas Nurses Association, an accredited provider by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Social Workers - Credit hours will be provided to social workers.

Certified Health Education Specialists (CHES) - To be submitted to the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc.

Community Health Workers (CHW) - Houston Community College, Coleman College for Health Sciences is approved by the Department of State Health Services (DSHS) for CHW Certification and CEUs.

**NEW**Mammography Technologists - Category A credit will be provided for technologists by Advanced Health Education Center, the premier provider of corporate style education for the imaging sciences.
